Meet FBUMC's Staff
Jo-Anne Gonzalez
Jo-Anne is our Administrative Assistant and is in her 13th year now. She keeps our office organized, produces the Sunday bulletins, fliers and assists Carol Elliott with the Tidings Newsletter during the summer months as well as putting notices about church activities in the newspaper.  She is also responsible for daily operation of the office, distributing food to those in need, web site maintenance, membership list  as well as other clerical duties. In January of 2013 she took on the job of Treasurer and bookkeeper.  One of Jo-Anne's favorite things about working with us is getting history lessons and jokes from our members, "The folks here are just priceless, they always seem to pick me up when I need it with out even knowing it, " said Jo-Anne.  Having grown up in Flagler County, Jo-Anne can get you just about anywhere you need to go and give you a history lesson in the process.  After graduating from Flagler Palm Coast High School, she worked her way through college--she earned a BS in Public Relations with a concentration in Athletic Administration and Special Events from the University of Florida in 1996. After graduating from college she worked in retail assistant manager and a substitute teacher prior becoming a graduate assistant sports information director and archivist in the University of West Alabama athletic department. She worked at the University of Texas at Arlington and was responsible for web site maintenance, men's golf and men's and women's tennis media guides, coordinating athletic department travel and summer camps as well as managing the media room during basketball season and splitting time with other department staff working at baseball, scoring softball games  and volleyball matches.  During her time at UTA she also worked for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club.  JoAnne was assistant director for media relations at the Atlantic Sun Conference and was responsible for all aspects of women's sports, maintaining the conference website and championship duties as assigned.  JoAnne is a former Girl Scout, loves college football, baseball and NASCAR as well as spending time with her most prized sunshine--her niece and nephew.
Betty Seubert
Betty is our resident organist & pianist.  She has returned to us after a few years off.  We are grateful to have Betty back.  Betty is active in the United Methodist Women and has served as treasurer of the unit for the past 13 years.  She, along with Bette Rountree organize the annual Rummage sale each January.  Betty is responsible for the many beautiful flower arrangements you see around the church. She and her husband, Steve just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. The Seubert's have two daughters, four grandson's, two granddaughters and one grandson-in-law.
Choir Director--Kirsten Shippert-Brown
 Kirsten joined us as Adult Choir Director in July of 2013.  She is a recently earned her BA in Voice from Stetson University in DeLand and is currently pursuing an MBA at her alma mater.  Kirsten has been singing since she was 3, and began studying music at 8 years old.  She has had the privilege of singing in many prestigious collegiate ensembles as well as on the state at Carnegie Hall.  Music is her passion and she is excited to begin this journey with our choir. 
Ted Turner
Ted is our resident cleaning and lawn maintenance person.  Ted has been with us too many years to count and is planning to retire in the next few years.  Ted is recently retired from FPCHS where he was the grounds keeper for over 25 years.  Ted is an active grandpa and is looking forward to spending even more time with his grandchildren.  Ted and his wife Charlotte,  have two children, their son Jeff is a local sheriff's deputy and his wife works as the registrar at one of our elementary schools and their son Mark is a local landscaper.  We are blessed to have Ted with us.
